Job summary

Talently is seeking a Beverage Manager for an upscale, full-service Tiburon, CA restaurant. The role blends high-level bar program leadership with senior floor management, driving beverage quality, guest experience, and financial results.

You will lead bartenders and bar staff, own beverage inventory and menu development, manage costs and scheduling, and build vendor relationships to support a world-class beverage program.

Qualifications

• Experience owning a bar program, including cocktails, beverage quality, inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships.
• Strong ability to lead, coach, schedule, and hold bartenders and bar support staff accountable.
• Experience managing beverage costs, labor, inventory, waste, invoices, and overall bar profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop bartenders, bar leads, and bar backs.
• Manage the bar while supporting overall floor operations.
• Own beverage inventory, ordering, receiving, and storage.
• Control beverage costs, waste, and product usage.
• Create and maintain seasonal cocktail menus.
• Manage bar labor, scheduling, and staffing.
• Build relationships with vendors and distributors.
• Review invoices and monitor purchasing.
• Train staff on cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and service standards.
• Ensure compliance with health and alcohol-service regulations.
• Resolve guest concerns and maintain high hospitality standards.
• Oversee opening, closing, cleanliness, and daily bar operations.
