Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Bank Controller to lead the bank accounting function during a pivotal growth phase. You will drive daily operations, ensure compliant financial reporting, and collaborate across finance, engineering, and product teams in a remote-first environment.

The role requires a CPA/CA, 10+ years in accounting/finance, and 5+ years of people management. You will partner with regulators and auditors to deliver accurate filings and scalable processes.

Qualifications

• CPA or CA designation required with extensive GAAP knowledge.
• 10+ years in Accounting, Finance or Treasury roles.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• Experience building scalable accounting processes for a growth company.

Responsibilities

• Lead the bank accounting team with strategic direction and coaching.
• Serve as primary liaison with cross functional partners and regulators.
• Oversee monthly financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Build and maintain an effective regulatory reporting function.
• Coordinate year-end audits with external auditors and ensure timely completion.
