Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer, Back End, to drive backend modernization and microservice architecture at scale. You will lead a portfolio of Go, Python and Java services, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, fraud-reduction, and customer experience teams to deliver resilient cloud-based solutions.

You will work across containers with Docker/Kubernetes and AWS tools, shaping the technical roadmap and delivery cadence for millions of customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply)
• At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Experience leading teams and delivering distributed microservice architectures
• Familiarity with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers in distributed microservices and full stack systems
• Mentor engineers, stay current with tech trends, participate in tech communities
• Collaborate with product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions for millions of users
