Job summary

Deploja AB is seeking a consultant with strong Java experience to build and operate production services and shared libraries. You will work within our consulting practice, collaborating with remote and client teams on cloud-native platforms using GCP and Kubernetes.

The role emphasizes distributed systems, service discovery, load balancing, and robust incident response. Familiarity with mTLS, xDS, and Envoy is a plus as we expand our cloud-native offerings.

Qualifications

• Must have strong Java experience with production services or shared libraries.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems including service discovery, load balancing, and failure handling.
• Experience operating production services on GCP and Kubernetes (GKE) including deployment and observability.
• Experience with gRPC and Kubernetes; familiarity with xDS, service meshes, or Envoy is a plus.
• Strong debugging and performance skills in complex multi-client systems.
• Experience rolling out infrastructure changes safely across teams.
• Familiarity with authentication, mTLS, workload identity is a plus.
• Clear communication and ability to work with remote teammates and partner teams.

We now have a new requirement and are looking for a consultant colleague with the qualifications listed below. The position is part of our consulting business, which means you will be employed by us and work either with clients or on internal projects and assignments.

Your Profile (Must-have requirements)

• Strong Java experience and a track record of building and operating production services or shared libraries.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, including service discovery, load balancing and failure handling.
• Experience operating production services on GCP and Kubernetes (GKE), including deployment, observability, and incident response.
• Experience with gRPC and Kubernetes; familiarity with xDS, service meshes, or Envoy is a plus.
