A fast-growing tech startup in San Francisco is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design scalable backend systems for their innovative gifting platform. You will collaborate with a team of former tech giants to drive architectural decisions and ensure high system reliability while enhancing corporate gifting solutions. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience, strong skills in API development, and familiarity with Google Cloud services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack engineer.
• Strong understanding of backend fundamentals: data modeling, systems design, and distributed systems concepts.
• Experience designing and building APIs (REST or GraphQL).
• Knowledge of TypeScript and modern Node.js tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and scale backend services that power the gifting platform.
• Build and optimize data models and queries to ensure high performance and reliability.
