Kiddom is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services powering our education platform. You will work across APIs, databases, and distributed systems, mentoring engineers and ensuring reliability.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.
• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience scaling integration systems.
• Proficiency with databases (SQL & NoSQL) such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of design patterns and best practices.
• Experience planning, launching, and refactoring code.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and databases.
• Ensure scalability, security, and performance of backend systems.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver features.
• Optimize applications for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system uptime.
• Assist customers with issues and onboarding tasks.
