Job summary

Unity is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build and operate the infrastructure powering billions of daily decisions in our Vector Gamer AI platform. You will design distributed systems, optimize for low latency, and own the reliability of production-grade backend services.

You will collaborate with ML engineers to scale serving infrastructure, monitor systems with Prometheus and Grafana, and manage cloud workloads on GCP with Kubernetes in a high-scale production environment.

Qualifications

• Experience building distributed systems at scale.
• Expertise in high-performance backend infrastructure.
• Strong background with Golang and cloud-native tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy production-grade backend services and distributed systems for large-scale inference.
• Drive technical direction of the inference platform with low latency and high throughput.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to scale online serving infrastructure.
• Ensure reliability and observability using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Manage cloud infrastructure on GCP and orchestrate workloads with Kubernetes.
