Job summary

Amber is seeking an Online Engineer to design and implement high-performance back-end solutions for our games. You will work in cross-functional teams to deliver scalable APIs and backend systems that support a large number of concurrent users.

Expect profile preselection, interviews, online tests, and technical assessments as part of our staffing process. Experience with cloud services, REST/SOAP, and modern server languages is essential; Docker/Kubernetes experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years back-end design and development experience.
• Proficient with scalable server-side programming.
• Deep knowledge of database design and optimization.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure or similar cloud services.
• Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs.
• Proficiency in Python, C#, Java or NodeJS.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the DevOps team to define back-end strategy and architecture for our games.
• Create and implement back-end deployment strategies.
• Develop and maintain back-end solutions for high concurrency and fast response.
• Participate in sprint planning and align tasks across teams.
• Communicate risks and coordinate with teammates.
• Improve game quality by eliminating waste in development processes.
• Design, develop, deploy and monitor backend features and APIs.
• Create and maintain CI automated tests for the back-end.
• Document system specifications.
