Job summary

Hebbia, an AI platform for investors, is seeking a Backend Software Engineer on the Growth and Data team. You will build and maintain backend systems, architect robust APIs, and deliver scalable services that power personalized data views and integrations.

Collaborating with product, design, and frontend engineers, you’ll own core backend features end-to-end, ensuring reliability and performance as Hebbia expands. A strong background in Python, Java, or Go, plus AWS, is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience, backend focus, in startup or tech firm.
• Experience building backend and API systems using Python, Java, or Go.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS) and data stores.

Responsibilities

• Own critical backend components and scalable services.
• Build and optimize indexing and data pipelines for large content sets.
• Architect performance tuning to reduce latency and increase throughput.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
