Job summary

Maximus seeks a Software Developer (Backend) to deliver backend architectures, RESTful APIs, and data-model improvements for USAF mission support. The role emphasizes back-end design, integration work, and DevSecOps practices in a cloud/Kubernetes environment.

This senior role requires TS/SCI clearance, active travel up to 20%, and a Bachelor's degree with extensive backend development experience. The position is remote contingent on clearance, with competitive salary and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 7 years of overall experience in the functional area.
• 7 years of software development experience in OO and scripting languages with DevSecOps, microservices, and containers tool suites.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing, conducting, and documenting various systems tests.
• 3 years of experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira) and testing web-based applications.
• 3 years of experience participating in software development programs or projects.
• Practical experience developing in a cloud environment.
• Experience with integrating data from unclassified to classified application deployments.
• 5 years of experience with Jenkins and GitLab.
• 5 years of experience with at least five (5) of the following: NPM, Cypress.io, esbuild, Bun, Apache Tomcat, Maven, SonarQube.
• 3 years of recent back-end web design and development experience.
• Demonstrated experience with relational databases, RESTful API development/communication, and system integrations.
• 3 years of experience with AWS Infrastructure, Kubernetes, and RedHat Linux.
• DCWF Code: 632 Intermediate.
• Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly required.
• Role may require travel to a site 10-20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Develop back-end architectures to support current and new system capabilities and integrations.
• RESTful API development and modification, database management, and data model development and optimization.
• Support process improvement, specialized studies, and requirements definition for the USAF mission.
