Job summary

Zuora is seeking a Software Engineer III for the Integration Hub that designs and builds scalable integration services, events, and APIs. You will work on real-time data flows, collaborating with Product, Platform, Security, and external partners to deliver reliable integration capabilities.

You will contribute to a modern, cloud-native platform using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, AWS, Kubernetes, and Postgres, focusing on reliability and observability.

Qualifications

• B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of backend or full-stack software development experience.
• Knowledge of the Payment domain.
• Strong Java or other modern language.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and distributed microservices.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka).
• Strong cloud experience (AWS).
• Experience with relational databases (Postgres, SQL).
• Knowledge of reliability, observability, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable integration services, APIs, and connectors.
• Develop event-driven and microservices-based architectures for real-time data flows.
• Partner with Product, Platform, Security, and partners to deliver integrations.
• Improve system performance, observability, and reliability across distributed systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following best practices.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and drive platform improvements.
