Job summary

Quevera is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Software Engineer – Part Time with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph to support mission-critical programs in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. You will assist software development activities, including testing, documentation, Agile development, and quality control of software.

The role involves AWS, Jira, and Confluence usage with telework up to 16 hours per week.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
Twenty (20) years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
Four (4) years of additional Software Engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Experience with AWS and agile development processes.
Experience using Jira and Confluence to manage software development work.
Experience ensuring quality control of developed and modified software.

Responsibilities

Support the development and execution of test procedures for software components.
Generate technical documentation.
Work within an Agile development environment.
Support software development activities using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Utilize Jira and Confluence.
Ensure quality control of developed and modified software.
Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
Debug existing software and correct defects.
Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
Develop data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
Write or review software and system documentation.
Develop or implement database or data repository interfaces and queries.
Develop or implement algorithms to meet system performance and functional standards.
Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve performance.
Recommend and implement improvements to documentation and software development process standards.
