Job summary

LPL Financial is seeking a Senior Developer in Austin to build back-office workflow applications and services. You will work on backend microservices, REST APIs with Java/Spring, and event-driven systems using Kafka and Camunda 8.

The role demands collaboration in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team. Ideal candidates have 6+ years in enterprise app development, experience with cloud deployments on AWS and containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes, and familiarity with BPMN

Qualifications

6+ years building scalable enterprise applications.
6+ years backend services and APIs with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Spring Data JPA, Spring Kafka, OpenFeign, gRPC, PostgreSQL and Docker containers.
3+ years hands-on experience with workflow automation (Camunda 8 / Zeebe) and cloud deployments (AWS, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

Participates in code reviews and sprint ceremonies.
Implements feature requests, tests solutions, and ensures proper validation.
Accountable for service level objectives defined for own work.
Collaborates with team to ensure consistent designs across products and platforms.
Responds to user support issues and assists users with navigation and data tasks.
Communicates with stakeholders to address needs and deliver features on time.
Maintains relationships with customers and understands markets and competition.
Identifies opportunities to streamline processes and advocate for tool changes.
