Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a senior backend engineer to own and evolve the institutional onboarding stack, from application to first trade, scaling backend services that handle onboarding, provisioning and data access controls.

You will drive automated onboarding workflows, implement the Organizations Service as the truth source for client data, and collaborate with Compliance, Product and Onboarding Ops to deliver secure, scalable access for Prime products.

Qualifications

• Proven production-grade code with high test coverage and structured code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Own backend services spanning onboarding, provisioning, and client data for institutional clients.
• Lead backend design for the Organizations Service as the source of truth for client data and Salesforce decoupling.
• Drive onboarding automation (screening, risk scoring, auto-provisioning) to reduce manual ops work.
• Mentor engineers and elevate technical standards through design reviews and incident response.
