ClickHouse, Inc. is seeking exceptional backend engineers to work across technologies with deep expertise in Kubernetes, distributed systems, cloud services, and platform reliability. You will collaborate cross-functionally to build and maintain infrastructure powering ClickPipes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Expertise in Golang, Kubernetes, Terraform (or similar IaC tool) and cloud-native architecture.
• Solid knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Ability to understand customer needs and inform product development.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and scale the high-performance data onboarding platform.
• Own and evolve infrastructure across multiple cloud providers (AWS, with expansion to GCP and Azure).
• Improve deployment pipelines, automation, and operational processes.
• Contribute to architectural decisions for scalability and resilience.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure reliability and respond to incidents.
• Improve systems based on metrics and feedback.

About the Team

The ClickPipes Platform plays a critical role in driving the growth of our company and ensuring the success of our clients by seamlessly onboarding and integrating data from diverse data sources into ClickHouse. We are looking for exceptional backend engineers who can work across a variety of technologies, with deep expertise in Kubernetes, distributed systems, cloud services, and platform reliability. As a member of this team, you'll collaborate cross-functionally to build and maintain the robust infrastructure powering ClickPipes. This role is ideal for individuals who are capable of working independently, taking initiative, and driving projects forward with a high level of autonomy.

What will you do?

• Enhance and scale our high-performance data onboarding platform to handle increasing volumes of data in real-time.

• Own and evolve our infrastructure across multiple cloud providers (AWS, with expansion to GCP and Azure).

• Drive improvements to our deployment pipelines, infrastructure automation, and operational processes.

• Drive technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions that impact our platform's scalability and resilience.

• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability and respond to production incidents.

• Continuously improve our systems based on operational metrics, customer feedback, and evolving business requirements.

About you:

• Experience: 5+ years of industry experience building as a backend engineer.

• Expertise: Golang, Kubernetes, Terraform (or comparable IaC tool), cloud-native architecture and solid knowledge of at least one major cloud service provider.

• Customer Focus: Have a deep commitment to understanding and addressing customer needs. Use customer feedback and insights to inform and improve product development.

• Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and a track record of working effectively across teams.

• Problem Solver: Exceptional production debugging skills, with the ability to navigate and solve complex technical issues in fast-paced environments.
