Job summary

Socure is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for the Document Verification (DocV) team. Build and refine server-side components for identity verification at scale, including core microservices, APIs, and ML model integrations.

Drive performance, security, and reliability across high-volume processing and cross-functional collaboration. You will own backend architecture, work with ML and frontend teams, and champion best practices in coding, testing, and deployment to ensure a seamless, scalable

Qualifications

5+ years building backend services or distributed systems at scale.
Proficient in Go, Java, or Scala with API frameworks.
Experience with microservices, REST/gRPC, and cloud environments.
Solid security and data protection practices.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for document verification workflows.
Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Infrastructure to deliver features in an agile environment.
Improve code quality, testing coverage, performance, security, and CI/CD for DocV backend systems.
Own backend architecture decisions and drive API design and data handling best practices.
Analyze production metrics to optimize performance, reliability, and uptime.
Integrate ML/CV capabilities with backend decisioning and model outputs.
Collaborate with frontend/mobile teams to define clear API contracts and support integrations.
