Job summary

Freenet Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain backend services and integrations for healthcare billing workflows. You will work on claims processing, ERA ingestion, and payment reconciliation within a HIPAA-regulated environment.

The role focuses on building secure, scalable Azure-based solutions, collaborating with product and operations teams, and delivering reliable financial data processing and reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Proven experience with healthcare billing or RCM systems.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with Python or Node.js and building backend services.
• HIPAA-regulated environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Build integrations with healthcare billing systems and clearinghouses.
• Develop workflows for claims processing, ERA ingestion, payment reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Design and maintain relational database schemas and data pipelines.
• Implement secure, scalable cloud-based solutions in Azure.
• Collaborate with teams to define and deliver new features.
• Conduct code reviews and improve engineering practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and integration failures.
