Job summary

Infostud Group seeks an experienced Senior Backend Engineer (Go or Node.js) to join our US-based partner team and own the VPN product and acquired apps. You will stabilize the Go networking engine, extend a Shadowsocks/WireGuard core, and build secure backend services for global private internet access.

You will work across Go, Python, and Node.js, design mobile APIs with OpenAPI, and lead testing, security, and deployment efforts while collaborating with product teams to deliver scalable

Qualifications

• 5+ years of senior backend engineering experience delivering services that support native mobile apps
• Go as a primary language with concurrency and networking experience; cross-compilation for Android/iOS
• Python and Node.js for existing services, scripts, and integrations
• PostgreSQL design/migrations and MongoDB/Redis caching
• AWS services and Docker-based deployments; Terraform/Ansible familiarity
• REST API design and documentation, JWT/OAuth auth, rate limiting
• GitHub-based workflows; SOLID, Clean Coding, Testing, CI/CD

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain secure, reliable backend systems for private and unrestricted internet access
• Develop and optimize Go services across a polyglot stack (Go, Python, Node.js)
• Work with networking and low-level tech including IP packets and userspace networking
• Design and evolve mobile APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger documentation
• Improve systems via refactoring, testing, and documentation
• Use AI coding agents to accelerate development and reviews
• Collaborate with Product to identify problems and deliver solutions
• Build strong unit and integration tests; ship to production
• Monitor metrics like API performance, errors, and retention
• Apply security and privacy best practices for data and keys
