Job summary

Tapestry, Mountain View HQ, is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to advance Developer Productivity & Infrastructure. You will build internal platforms and CLI tools to enable feature teams to deploy services at scale with minimal friction.

You will reduce build and test bottlenecks, define secure architecture templates, and empower teams with observability and production health tooling. Collaboration with cloud, data, and platform engineers is essential.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in CS, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in backend programming (Python/Go/Java).
• 3+ years on Google Cloud Platform and core services.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for scalable apps.
• IaC tooling: Terraform/Terragrunt/Pulumi/Helm.
• Infra on AWS/GCP/Azure/Oracle.
• CI/CD workflows: ArgoCD, GitHub Actions.
• DevEx focus: improve internal tooling/workflows.
• API-first approach and internal APIs for Kubernetes/Cloud IAM.
• Teaching/mentorship and internal docs creation.

Responsibilities

• Design Infrastructure as a Product with internal platforms and CLI tools.
• Reduce inner-loop bottlenecks from code to production in minutes.
• Create standardized templates for secure, reliable service architecture.
• Provide dashboards, alerts, and tracing to empower production health.
