Job summary

Glocomms is partnering with a large, established organization seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive the evolution of their cloud-native platform and microservices architecture. You will design, build, and maintain scalable Java/Spring Boot applications in Kubernetes/OpenShift.

The role offers technical leadership, mentorship, and a focus on observability, performance, and modern CI/CD and GitOps practices across distributed services.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Java development and SQL.
• 5+ years building and supporting microservices using Spring Framework / Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes platforms, ideally OpenShift.
• Experience building and scaling distributed, cloud-native applications.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and best engineering practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Help drive the transition to a resilient, always-on microservices architecture
• Deploy and manage applications within Kubernetes/OpenShift environments
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers
• Improve system monitoring, observability, and performance across distributed services
• Contribute to modern CI/CD and GitOps deployment practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact software solutions
