Job summary

Lumafield seeks a senior Backend Engineer to develop and manage backend architecture for its cloud platform. In this role, you will design scalable Python backends using Django and Celery and lead complex workflows incorporating AWS technologies. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, extensive backend development experience, and a strong background in AWS and PostgreSQL. This full-time position offers a salary of $180,000 - $225,000 along with equity compensation and various benefits.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience developing software, mostly backend.
• 5+ years shipping production backends with Python, Django/DRF.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor engineering peers on architectural principles.

Responsibilities

• Own backend architecture for cloud software supporting multiple services.
• Design, build, and operate scalable Python backends.
• Coach and mentor engineering team members on architecture best practices.
