Job summary

Affirm is seeking a backend-focused engineer to own quarterly goals and guide engineers through API design and implementation for enterprise merchants. You will collaborate with product, design and analytics teams to tackle complex problems while ensuring high-availability distributed systems.

Requirements include 4+ years in backend systems using Python or Kotlin, plus hands-on experience with AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes; a related Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

• Proven track record with AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for the Powered by Affim team.
• Lead engineers through the design and implementation of APIs for enterprise merchants.
• Collaborate with product, design and analytics to solve complex problems and maintain high-availability distributed systems.
