Job summary

PEPOLTek LTD in New York seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join an AI platform for construction capital program owners. You will build out production backend services, own architecture decisions, and mentor junior engineers.

You should have 5+ years, deep Python/AWS expertise, and a product mindset with startup experience. Hybrid work in Midtown and growth into Lead Engineer within 3–6 months is expected.

Qualifications

• Founding engineer or early employee experience at a B2B SaaS startup.
• 3 to 6 years of backend software engineering experience.
• Advanced Python for production backend systems.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience, including Lambda and Step Functions.
• A product mindset with ability to talk to customers directly.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related STEM field.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate production-grade backend services and data pipelines using Python and AWS.
• Make critical architectural and system design decisions leveraging AI coding tools.
• Own features end to end from backend to front end in a predominantly backend codebase.
• Engage directly with customers and forward deployed engineers to translate needs into software.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and design discussions.
