Robotics Technologies LLC in Jersey City, NJ, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, develop, and operate cloud-native backend platforms. You will own backend services end-to-end and contribute with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

You will build cloud-native microservices using Kotlin, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and WebFlux, deploy AWS infrastructure with Terraform, and manage containerized apps on AWS ECS.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with strong expertise in building and supporting cloud-native backend platforms. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on engineer who can independently design, develop, deploy, and manage backend services using Kotlin, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, WebFlux, AWS, and Terraform. This role requires someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can quickly contribute with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend platform services and APIs.
• Build cloud-native microservices using Kotlin, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and WebFlux.
• Deploy, configure, and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
• Provision AWS resources manually through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues.
• Configure, deploy, and manage containerized applications on AWS ECS.
• Collaborate with architecture and platform teams to ensure highly available and resilient systems.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Implement best practices around observability, monitoring, logging, and operational excellence.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and production support activities.
