Ripple in San Francisco is seeking a Staff-level backend engineer to modernize onboarding platforms and design distributed cloud-native services powering customer onboarding across Ripple products.

You will lead architecture, mentor engineers, and partner with Product and Compliance to shape company-wide technical direction. This role offers equity and the chance to scale systems touching every Ripple customer.

Qualifications

• Deep backend engineering experience in cloud-native, distributed systems.
• Willingness to work with frontend frameworks (React, Vue) for full-stack capability.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale systems in complex environments.
• Strong API design and integration skills (REST and/or gRPC).
• Experience with AWS and Kubernetes/ECS; focus on reducing technical debt.
• Leadership to set direction, mentor others, and influence cross-team decisions.

Responsabilités

• Lead design and development of distributed backend services powering onboarding across Ripple products.
• Collaborate with Product, Compliance, and engineering teams to design scalable data pipelines.
• Migrate core onboarding logic from Salesforce to resilient, observable services.
• Build platform capabilities for faster onboarding with robust trust and compliance.
• Mentor engineers and help grow a high-impact team; drive architecture at scale.
