Job summary

Sedaro is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to architect our workflow orchestration system and build an execution engine for massive simulation campaigns. You will tackle workloads across distributed systems, enable aerospace teams to run large-scale experiments, and drive performance with modern tooling.

You will work with Rust, Python, Kubernetes, Django, and Postgres to deliver scalable solutions in a multi-cloud environment, reporting to the Platform Services team in Arlington, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with containerization, container orchestration, and event streams.
• Experience with relational and key-value databases.
• Experience designing and implementing APIs.
• Experience driving performance through observability and/or root cause analysis.
• Proficiency in at least one server-side programming language.

Responsibilities

• Architect Lean solutions with impactful incremental deliverables.
• Optimize multi-cloud systems for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Design and implement system observability with actionable alerting and measurable SLOs.
• Drive operational excellence through infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and observability practices.
• Lead root cause analysis and blameless post-mortem discussions.
• Foster a culture of learning, empowerment, and achievement.
