Job summary

Camunda is seeking a Senior Product Builder to own the backend and architecture for Camunda Hub, enabling scalable management of clusters, access control, licenses, and deployments. You will shape event models, service boundaries, and data models, building AI-first, production-ready features for platform administrators and Camunda builders.

You will lead the propagation mechanism, write design docs, and design robust failure handling, while collaborating in a remote-first pod with end-to-end

Qualifications

• Experience building and running backend systems in production that other teams or customers depend on.
• Product judgment for technical users: talk to API users and make trade-offs on their behalf.
• Clear, concise writing for remote asynchronous reviews.
• Care for system behavior under partial failures and outages.

Responsibilities

• Take over Hub's fleet propagation mechanism and extend it for access, secrets, tenants, licences and custom roles.
• Write concise design docs, get reviews, and translate them into tested, shipped code.
• Design failure modes: offline clusters, partial failures, outages, and cluster adoption/detachment.
• Build the path from clusters back to Hub: deployment inventory, health, audit records and licence status.
• Design Hub's first event and webhook mechanism for reactive admins and agents.
• Join rotations and on-call, mentor peers, contribute to reviews and contract tests.
