Job summary
A trail organization based in Waterbury, Vermont, is seeking a Senior Trail Technician to lead complex trail projects in backcountry environments. This position involves hands-on construction of shelters and privies, operating chainsaws, and coordinating efforts with crews and volunteers. Candidates should have experience with hand and power tools, strong interpersonal skills, and a valid Driver’s License. Comprehensive training will be provided for Wilderness First Aid certification. Qualifications
Experience with hand tools and basic power tools preferred.
Experience with trail construction techniques preferred.
Must have valid Driver’s License and ability to operate trailers.
Responsibilities
Build and repair structures including shelters, privies, and bridges.
Operate chainsaw for hazard tree management and trail projects.
Lead groups of volunteers and/or trail crews on construction projects.
