Job summary

A trail organization based in Waterbury, Vermont, is seeking a Senior Trail Technician to lead complex trail projects in backcountry environments. This position involves hands-on construction of shelters and privies, operating chainsaws, and coordinating efforts with crews and volunteers. Candidates should have experience with hand and power tools, strong interpersonal skills, and a valid Driver’s License. Comprehensive training will be provided for Wilderness First Aid certification. Qualifications

• Experience with hand tools and basic power tools preferred.
• Experience with trail construction techniques preferred.
• Must have valid Driver’s License and ability to operate trailers.

Responsibilities

• Build and repair structures including shelters, privies, and bridges.
• Operate chainsaw for hazard tree management and trail projects.
• Lead groups of volunteers and/or trail crews on construction projects.
