Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent field of study with at least 5 years experience
• Must have knowledge with JAVA, Spring, Hibernate, REST, MySQL
• Nice to have knowledge with Redis, Elasticsearch, Flume, Redshift, Nginx, Memcached
• Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others
• Displays initiative, self‑motivation, and effective time‑management skills
• Multiple years of experience in a professional environment performing analysis, design and development tasks on multiple platforms
• Knowledge of in‑object oriented programming concepts and design
• Familiar with data mining concepts and machine learning algorithms
• Understanding of data flows, data architecture, ETL and processing of structured and unstructured data

Responsibilities

• Design and develop applications in Java using a variety of frameworks and tools
• Provide options for implementing features that account for scalability, long term maintainability and performance
• Coordinate with front end development team as needed to connect the UI to our API
• Think strategically and execute operationally
