Job summary

Fortegra is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud & Network Engineer to implement, support, and optimize enterprise Azure cloud infrastructure and networking. You will configure VNets, private connectivity, and security services, and work with Hybrid connectivity between on‑premises and Azure.

The role emphasizes hands-on Azure networking, IaC with Terraform/Bicep/ARM, and CI/CD pipelines within a regulated enterprise, requiring strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or network engineering.
• Hands-on Azure experience, especially networking and hybrid connectivity.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing and segmentation.
• Experience with IaC and automation tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices.
• Ability to work in regulated/compliance-driven environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and analytical skills.
• Adaptability in large enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Implement, support, and optimize enterprise Azure cloud infrastructure and networking.
• Configure and manage Azure networking services (VNets, subnets, routing, private connectivity, load balancing, DNS, VPN, network security).
• Support Azure networking tech such as Azure Virtual WAN, ExpressRoute, Private Link, Application Gateway, and Azure Firewall.
• Build hub-and-spoke and other scalable Azure network topologies.
• Use IaC tools to provision and maintain cloud and network infrastructure.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines for cloud infra deployments.
• Create reusable templates, scripts, deployment patterns.
• Collaborate with DevOps, security, and application teams.
• Support regulatory/compliance requirements (SOC, PCI, NYDFS).
• Maintain technical docs and diagrams.
