Job summary

Valiant Technologies LLC seeks an experienced Azure Kubernetes Engineer to design and operate AKS environments on Microsoft Azure. You will deploy, secure, troubleshoot, and optimize container platforms while acting as a senior escalation point across multiple teams.

The role requires strong Kubernetes expertise, Azure networking, and CI/CD proficiency, with on-site duties in Houston, TX and an on-call rotation. You’ll mentor L1/L2 engineers and contribute to runbooks and architecture notes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of infrastructure or cloud engineering experience, including Kubernetes and Azure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience delivering production-grade enterprise platforms on Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and administer AKS clusters across environments.
• Provide L3 incident, problem, and root-cause analysis for Kubernetes issues.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Helm deployments.
• Configure networking, DNS, private endpoints, and storage in Azure.
• Implement monitoring with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Establish security controls: RBAC, identity integration, secret management, vulnerability remediation.
• Drive performance, resiliency, backup, and cost optimization.
• Develop runbooks, architecture docs, and knowledge articles.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical escalations.
