Job summary

Belcan in Salt Lake City, UT seeks a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to design, implement and operate secure cloud solutions in Azure and Azure Government. You will partner with an external SI to build a compliant government cloud and drive governance, security controls and incident readiness.

You will apply FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and NIST CSF standards, develop IaC with Terraform or Bicep, and mentor others while communicating with senior leadership across the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Azure cloud experience.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Government and GovCloud in regulated environments.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53 and NIST CSF requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and continuously improve secure cloud solutions in Azure and Azure Government.
• Collaborate with an external SI to design a compliant Azure Government environment.
• Contribute to cloud architecture, security, governance, and operational strategy.
• Establish secure platforms, landing zones, and governance controls.
• Ensure alignment with federal security requirements and regulatory frameworks.
• Lead or support cloud security, audits, assessments, and authorization activities.
• Develop IaC and automation using Terraform or Bicep.
• Mentor engineers and communicate complex concepts to leadership.
