Job summary

Axiom-Path is seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer in Charlotte to advance compliance technology initiatives. You will design scalable data pipelines, support surveillance platforms, and collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to implement robust data solutions in a regulated, fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of enterprise data tech experience, strong Azure data skills, Python/SQL proficiency, and a background in compliance or fraud prevention systems.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience implementing enterprise technologies, data platforms, or vendor-based systems.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and Azure Data Lake.
  • Strong Python development experience for data engineering, automation, and platform customization.
  • Strong SQL experience, including SQL Server, Oracle/PL-SQL, stored procedures, and relational database concepts.
  • Experience building ingestion, transformation, integration, and storage pipelines in complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience with IT development, system design, data analysis, and integration across multiple platforms.
  • Familiarity with compliance, surveillance, fraud detection, or corporate compliance systems is strongly preferred.
  • Actimize experience is preferred.
  • Power BI and Power Apps experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and enhance scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Python, SQL, and related cloud data technologies.
  • Support compliance and surveillance platforms by developing custom rules, workflows, configurations, and integrations.
  • Partner with business users, vendors, support teams, and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable data engineering solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across environments, perform root cause analysis, and improve system stability.
  • Develop and execute unit and integration test cases to validate enhancements, releases, and upgrades.
  • Support production systems in a high-transaction environment, including escalation support for critical issues.
  • Participate in system implementations, go-lives, and occasional evening or weekend deployment support.
  • Create technical documentation for requirements, design, implementation, testing, and support processes.

This is a long-term hybrid opportunity based in Charlotte, NC, supporting critical compliance technology initiatives. The role offers exposure to enterprise-scale Azure data engineering, vendor platform integration, production support, system upgrades, and compliance-driven technology delivery.
