Job summary

Keylent Inc. in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Azure Cloud Security Engineer to lead security design and implementation for cloud infrastructure.

You will implement NSGs, manage Azure Security Center, and drive risk-informed decisions across multi-disciplinary teams, with a focus on zero-trust and data protection in the cloud.

Qualifications

• Cybersecurity certification with at least 5 years of information security experience.
• Azure certification with minimum 2 years of hands-on Azure cloud infrastructure experience.
• Knowledge of information security standards.
• Ability to convey security risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• IT operations background or ITIL foundations knowledge.
• Familiar with Agile methodologies (Kanban/Scrum).
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Interpret security and technical requirements into business requirements and communicate risks to stakeholders from leadership to engineers.
• Direct and influence multi-disciplinary teams in implementing and operating cybersecurity controls.
• Collaborate with developers and DBAs to deliver secure cloud solutions.
• Document implementations thoroughly with technical run books and docs.
• Design, implement and support Azure Network Security Groups (NSG).
• Manage Azure Security Center policies and advise on remediation.
• Track and report Azure security KPIs monthly.
• Stay updated on new threats, vulnerabilities and controls.
• Incorporate new security technologies and best practices into cloud offerings.
• Partner with Cloud Migration Factory to advise on on-prem apps migrated to the cloud.

Cybersecurity certification, with at least 5 years experience working in information security field

Expertise implementing security solutions in public cloud IaaS/PaaS

Proficiency implementing security configurations in Office 365

Proficiency implementing security solutions in zero-trust networks

Proficiency in several security technologies including data loss prevention, encryption, cloud access security brokers, identity and access management, micro-segmentation, multi-factor authentication, endpoint protection, SIEM and perimeter defenses

Effectively convey security risks to technical as well as non-technical stakeholders

IT operations background and/or ITIL foundations knowledge

Experience with Splunk, Palo Alto Next Gen firewalls, and QRadar SIEM is highly regarded

Comfortable with Agile methodologies such as kanban and scrum

Excellent time management, problem solving, technical writing, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

Stay abreast of emerging security threats, vulnerabilities and controls

Spot and execute new security technologies and best practices into the company's Cloud offerings.

Partner with the Cloud Migration Factory team to provide security advice and designs for on-prem applications migrated to the cloud
