Job summary

Moultrie is seeking a mid to senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and operate our Azure-focused cloud environments. You will ensure reliability, security, and scalability while working with Software, DevOps, and Security to support growth.

You will mentor engineers, participate in infra roadmap planning, and own IaC, CI/CD, and cost optimization initiatives. Azure experience is mandatory, and cross-cloud familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4-7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or systems engineering roles, with demonstrated progression to mid/senior-level scope.
• Required: hands-on production experience with Microsoft Azure, including core compute, networking, storage, and Azure Active Directory/Entra ID. Solid experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates) and versioncontrolled, repeatable infrastructure deployments.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
• Proficiency scripting in at least one of PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation.
• Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS). Experience with monitoring and observability tooling (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, VPNs, firewalls) and cloud security best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and comfort operating in an on-call rotation for production systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical tradeoffs to both engineering peers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach other engineers, collaborate effectively across crossfunctional teams, and build consensus on technical decisions.
• Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP) in addition to Azure.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Experience in a SaaS or subscription-based product environment where uptime and performance are directly tied to customer experience.
• Exposure to cost optimization and FinOps practices in cloud environments.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading small technical initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable Azure infra across compute, networking, storage, and identity.
• Own day-to-day operations of Azure resources for high availability.
• Implement and maintain Azure networking (VNets, ExpressRoute, NSGs) for secure connectivity.
• Support multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud initiatives; Azure primary platform.
• Manage cloud cost optimization; rightsizing, reserved instances, cost reports.
• Build and maintain IaC with Bicep/ARM to provision Azure environments.
• Own CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) for reliable deployments.
• Automate routine tasks (patching, scaling, backups) with PowerShell/Python.
• Collaborate with engineering; mentor juniors; contribute to infra roadmap.
• Implement monitoring and incident response; on-call rotation; post-incident reviews.
• Define disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud infra.
• Partner with Security to enforce cloud security best practices.
