Job summary

LightFeather is hiring a cleared Azure infrastructure and DevOps professional to support federal IT modernization in Washington, D.C. You will own secure cloud architecture, automation, and compliance operations—working directly with government stakeholders to keep systems performant, resilient, and audit-ready.

This full-time role requires a Secret clearance and onsite work four days per week, with one day of telework.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance or higher
• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering/DevOps/Systems Engineering
• 3+ years with Azure cloud services and architecture
• 3+ years building and managing CI/CD pipelines in production
• 3+ years writing Terraform IaC
• 3+ years with GitLab for source control/pipelines
• 4+ years PowerShell scripting
• Production experience with Azure Virtual Desktop
• Knowledge of FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, RMF

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure including VMs, VNets, Storage, Azure AD, and PaaS services.
• Manage and optimize Azure networking components (VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, VPN/ExpressRoute).
• Develop and maintain Terraform templates as the primary IaC tool.
• Support automation via PowerShell, Bash, YAML/JSON, and GitLab pipelines.
• Deploy, configure, and manage AVD environments including host pools and session hosts.
