Job summary

Prominent is seeking a Sr. Application Developer for a contract-to-hire engagement. This role is onsite with preferred commuting distance to Greenwood Village, CO, Berkeley Heights, NJ, or Omaha, NE.

The Sr. Application Developer will operate in an Azure-centered scrum team, delivering APIs and web apps, collaborating with clients and leadership, and ensuring secure, scalable deployments with IaC and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as lead .NET developer delivering APIs and web apps to Azure.
• Full-stack capability with modern frontend frameworks.
• Strong Azure expertise: App Services, API Management, Key Vault, Monitor.
• Proficient with Visual Studio, C#, Python, REST, HTML/JS, and frameworks like Angular/React.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, ASP.NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, Git, Terraform.
• IaC tooling experience is a plus; focus on security, IAM, and encryption.
• Knowledge of FedRAMP/FISMA/Zero Trust is desirable.
• CI/CD, Agile/Scrum, and proactive issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients and leadership to clarify requirements.
• Read requirements and contribute to agile user stories and tasks.
• Troubleshoot software applications and configuration issues.
• Assist with Azure deployments, testing, configuration, and installation.
• Support performance tuning and resilience strategies.
• Prioritize security across deployments and detect vulnerabilities.
• Ensure disaster recovery planning and application resiliency.
• Create detailed documentation for the application.
• Share knowledge within the team for effective collaboration.
