Job summary

University of Delaware is seeking an experienced Azure Application Consultant / Senior Developer to design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-native applications and data solutions in Microsoft Azure.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of Azure application development, full stack experience with React.js, Node.js, Python, and a track record of delivering enterprise integrations in on‑prem and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of Azure Application Development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with React.js, Node.js and Python.
• Experience delivering cloud-native data integration and analytics solutions.
• Proven ability to design secure, scalable architectures and APIs.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable cloud-based solutions.
• Design and develop modern web applications using React.js, Node.js, and Python.
• Develop and maintain Azure-based applications leveraging App Services, Functions, APIs, and cloud-native services.
• Design and implement scalable data integration, replication, and transformation solutions.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Create and maintain notebooks for data processing and analytics workloads.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including offshore teams, DevOps, Data Governance, and stakeholders.
• Design secure, scalable, and high-performance architectures; troubleshoot performance issues.
• Prepare technical documentation and implementation plans; ensure security and governance compliance.
