Job summary

Katalyst CRO in Englewood, NJ seeks a seasoned DevOps/Cloud Engineer to design and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure, manage Linux servers, and automate deployments across environments.

You will build CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or GitHub Actions, run Kubernetes/EKS clusters with Docker, and apply IaC with Terraform and Ansible, while ensuring security, monitoring, and incident response. Strong collaboration and reliability focus required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field.
• Relevant industry certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer preferred.
• 3–7+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms, particularly Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Strong knowledge of Linux administration and networking concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux servers, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Manage and support Kubernetes/EKS clusters and containerized workloads using Docker.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or similar automation tools.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, deployments, and operational processes.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and observability using Datadog, Splunk, AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, or equivalent tools.
• Implement Descopes practices throughout the software development and deployment lifecycle.
• Integrate and manage security tools such as Snyk, SonarQube, vulnerability scanners, and secrets-management solutions.
• Perform security patching, vulnerability remediation, and configuration hardening.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, infrastructure issues, deployment failures, and performance problems. Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and preventive action planning.
• Improve system reliability, scalability, availability, and operational efficiency.
