Job summary

Fractal.ai is hiring for an AWS Data Engineer and Senior Engineer to design and implement scalable data pipelines on AWS. You will work with Spark, Glue, and various AWS services to decompose legacy Java apps and migrate to modern solutions.

Ideal candidates have 3–11 years of data engineering experience, solid Python/Java skills, and familiarity with Mule or similar integration tools. This role involves joint client engagements and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3–11 years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, especially AWS Glue and Spark.
• Experience with Java development and Python scripting.
• Familiarity with data integration tools (e.g., Mule) and serverless architectures.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience with AWS Glue, Spark, and other AWS data services.
• Decompose and modernize existing Java apps to Lambda or Mule-based services.
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines across SDLC stages.
• Collaborate with global consulting teams on client engagements.
• Work with AWS services like S3, Redshift, DynamoDB, Kinesis, and EMR.
