Job summary

Cognizant is hiring an AWS Data Engineer to design and deliver scalable data platforms leveraging PySpark, Python, AWS, Databricks, and Snowflake for healthcare payer initiatives. You will lead end-to-end data pipelines, model data in Snowflake, and ensure secure, compliant data practices across hybrid onsite/remote teams.

The role requires up to 12 years of experience in cloud analytics, strong collaboration with analytics and operations, and a focus on reliable, measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Nine to twelve years of experience designing and delivering data solutions using PySpark, Python, AWS, Databricks and Snowflake.
• Experience in healthcare payer oriented initiatives.
• Hybrid work cadence with onsite and remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex data engineering initiatives using PySpark and Python to design and optimize data pipelines.
• Configure and manage AWS cloud-based data solutions for enterprise standards.
• Standardize Databricks notebooks, jobs, and cluster configurations.
• Develop Snowflake data models with fact and dimension structures.
• Migrate legacy data processes to modern cloud architectures.
• Implement data quality checks and validation routines.
• Align data solutions with payer business processes and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with product analytics and operations to prioritize backlog and deliver features.
• Optimize job scheduling and resource allocation in PySpark, Databricks, Snowflake.
• Implement secure data access practices on AWS and Snowflake.
• Document architectures, pipelines, and procedures.
• Support incident analysis and root cause resolution.
• Coordinate hybrid work cadence onsite and remote.
