Job summary

Tekhire Solutions seeks a seasoned Database Architect to design scalable, secure data ecosystems on AWS and Snowflake. You will build and optimize data platforms, orchestrate EMR clusters, and integrate with Lambda, S3, and Glue. The role emphasizes cost-efficient, highly available solutions with strong SQL proficiency.

You will mentor junior developers, troubleshoot AWS-related issues, and ensure compliance with security and privacy standards while communicating complex concepts to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field; Master’s or Doctorate may substitute for experience
• 7+ years as a Database Architect
• Experience with AWS database and data processing services (RDS, AuroraDB, DynamoDB, Redshift, ElastiCache, EMR, Neptune)
• Knowledge of AWS security best practices (IAM, encryption, VPC, security groups) and data storage compliance
• Proficient in automation and scripting (CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CLI, Python, Bash, PowerShell) for database and workflow management
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning, caching and auto-scaling

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, high-performance, and secure database solutions on AWS and Snowflake
• Architect and manage EMR clusters, optimize for cost and performance
• Integrate databases with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, EC2, and Glue
• Ensure backup, DR, HA, and failover solutions (Multi-AZ, read replicas)
• Write complex SQL for data analysis, transformation, and reporting
• Provide guidance to junior/mid-level developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams
