Job summary

Semper Valens Solutions is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Systems Operations Administrator in San Antonio, TX. The role involves deploying and managing AWS workloads, implementing security controls, and ensuring compliance with cloud security standards.

Candidates should have extensive IT experience on Windows and Linux, with a focus on AWS and container orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS). TS/SCI clearance is required; a referral bonus of $1,500 is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field; master's may substitute for 2 years experience.
• Ten years IT systems administration on Windows and Linux; patching, STIG, upgrades on AWS.
• Experience managing workloads on AWS; experience with EKS.
• Experience in system administration supporting development/test teams in AWS; Kubernetes and RHEL.
• CKA certification and/or training; container platforms experience.
• IAT II certification (Security+ desired); TS/SCI clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Deploying, managing, and operating workloads on AWS; implement security controls and compliance requirements.
• Define requirements, create functional models, and develop architectural processes.
• Optimize system operations using AWS tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Ensure alignment with security protocols and standards for cloud services.
