Job summary

A software development company in the United States is looking for candidates with a deep understanding of AWS and related services for a contract job opportunity. The ideal applicant must have experience with Puppet and Chef on AWS, as well as Windows 2012 administration. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server from a sysadmin perspective is necessary. Deep understanding of AWS and related services (Senior/Architect level)

Using Puppet / Chef with & on AWS

CloudFormations, Autoscaling, CloudFront, CloudWatch, VPC

Windows 2012 Administrator & Powershell

Microsoft SQL Server “sysadmin perspective” (install, basic configuration, monitoring, backup)

Microsoft IIS

Various middleware applications (legal industry/litigation applications)

Required to know Syslog, snmp, smtp on AWS, traditional day to day sysadmin functions on Windows
