Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (AWS) for a fully remote role in the United States. You will design, deploy, and optimize secure, scalable cloud infrastructure supporting our healthcare credentialing platform, with broad ownership across cloud and on‑premises environments.

You will manage IAM, EC2, ECS, RDS, VPC, Route 53, and monitoring, while contributing to disaster recovery, compliance (HITRUST, SOC 2, HIPAA), and automation using CloudFormation and scripting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Systems Administration, with at least 3 years supporting production AWS workloads.
• Expert-level Linux administration, including provisioning, hardening, patching, and performance tuning.
• Strong Windows Server administration experience (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS).
• Experience with Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure (Prism Element/Central, AHV).
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code, especially AWS CloudFormation, and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and operate secure, resilient AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, ECS, S3, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch, Systems Manager).
• Optimize infrastructure for security, performance, and cost efficiency; plan disaster recovery.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and IaC using CloudFormation and related tools.
• Operate containerized workloads on ECS/ECS Anywhere and manage Rancher/Docker environments.
• Administer Linux and Windows Server environments across on‑premises and AWS.
• Maintain Nutanix Prism-based infrastructure and implement DR plans.
• Automate configuration, maintenance, and patching with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and Systems Manager.
• Oversee SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle and email relay security practices.
• Support HITRUST, SOC 2, HIPAA compliance and maintain secure configurations.
