Job summary

Acrisure Re is seeking an AVP, Actuarial in New York to price reinsurance contracts and provide ongoing support through the lifecycle. You will build on a solid actuarial foundation and mentor junior analysts while expanding expertise in niche areas and contributing to our actuarial standards and toolset.

The role collaborates with traditional carriers, MGAs, Insurtechs, and multinational specialty carriers, reflecting broad exposure to complex risk and innovative pricing approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related STEM field.
• 4+ years actuarial experience, preferably in a reinsurance pricing capacity.
• ACAS or near-ACAS designation, with active progression toward FCAS.
• Actively maintains Continuing Education requirements and familiarity with AI/LLM tools.
• Understanding of pricing, reserving, and capital models for (re)insurance products.

Responsibilities

• Perform pricing analyses for proportional, excess of loss, and structured reinsurance deals.
• Develop dynamic stochastic models and compare reinsurance strategies and pricing.
• Communicate results and complex concepts to clients, reinsurers, and brokers.
• Support brokers with reinsurance submissions, pricing, structuring, and placement.
• Mentor junior team members and respond to technical queries from stakeholders.
• Contribute to actuarial standards, tools, whitepapers, and internal research.
