Apex Technology, Inc. seeks an Avionics Test Engineer to design, build, and maintain bus-level and component-level test racks for spacecraft hardware.

You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, RF, software, and systems teams to define strategies and troubleshoot flight hardware throughout development and production. You will lead hardware bring-up, interface validation, and fixture development, ensuring test coverage, reliability, and throughput while supporting qualification and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 5+ years in aerospace hardware or avionics testing.
• Hands-on with lab instrumentation and hardware bring-up.
• Experience troubleshooting complex test setups.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own design, build, integration, and maintenance of bus-level and component-level avionics test racks.
• Develop and maintain FlatSats and avionics testbeds with interfaces and harnessing.
• Lead hardware integration activities including harnessing and fixturing.
• Define test architecture with multiple engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot flight hardware using oscilloscopes, DAQ systems, VNAs, and analyzers.
• Perform hardware bring-up, interface validation, and signal integrity checks.
• Develop test fixtures and interface electronics as needed.
• Support component qualification, regression, and spacecraft-level testing.
• Investigate failures and drive root-cause resolutions with teams.
• Improve test infrastructure for coverage, reliability, and throughput.
