Job summary

True Anomaly, Inc. is hiring a Subsystem Lead (SSL) to own the avionics subsystem on one or more space vehicle programs. You will be accountable for delivering a subsystem that meets requirements, cost, and schedule from program start through on-orbit operations.

You will design, analyze, build, test, and deliver the subsystem with engineers and technicians from the Avionics team. You are the single point of contact for your subsystem to program leadership and other subsystem leads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years designing, building, and testing avionics or electrical hardware for flight/space/defense.
• Experience leading design reviews and test readiness reviews.
• Experience writing and managing subsystem specifications, ICDs, and verification matrices.
• Clear written and verbal communication with engineers, program leadership, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the avionics subsystem design, build, test, and delivery within cost and schedule targets.
• Own subsystem requirements and verification with the Systems Engineer and Chief Engineer.
• Manage interfaces and ICDs with adjacent subsystems and leaders.
• Drive schedule by feeding milestones into IMS and flag slips with recovery options.
• Present subsystem at design reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR, tabletop) with supporting analysis.
• Lead hardware anomaly investigations and corrective action with Quality.
• Coordinate with suppliers for SOWs, technical evaluations, and testing.
