Job summary

Firefly Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a talented Avionics Manufacturing Engineer to lead the scale-up of in-house production capabilities in Cedar Park, Texas.

You will drive design release-to-delivery processes, improve quality and throughput, and work closely with design and production teams to enable on-time launches. The role requires strong hands-on experience in hardware manufacturing, IPC/standards familiarity, and a track record of process improvements in high-mix environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of design, manufacturing, and/or production of mechanical or electrical hardware.
• Experience with electronic box build, battery build, or cable harness builds.
• Hands-on approach with continuous improvement and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Support avionics production from design release through production delivery.
• Optimize and automate manufacturing and test processes to improve quality and throughput.
• Oversee introduction and implementation of new products and product revisions.
• Resolve non-conformances and implement root cause corrective actions.
• Collaborate with design team to optimize manufacturability and standardization.
