Job summary

KBR's Mission Technology Solutions unit seeks a Sr Avionics Engineer to provide advanced avionics systems support for CNI, GPS, and identification programs, including IFF integration and secure voice development. On-site role with 25% travel to support national security missions.

Requires an ABET-accredited BS in Electrical Engineering and 15 years of experience; MS preferred; TS/SCI clearance and leadership of junior staff are expected to ensure mission-critical success.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited) and 15 years of experience.
• Advanced knowledge and recognized ability in avionics engineering.
• Active TS/SCI clearance; ability to supervise junior personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide avionics engineering support for Communications, Navigation, and Identification (CNI) systems
• Support IFF Mode 5 integration and sustainment
• Work on Secure Voice systems development and modernization
• Assist with GPS/Antenna upgrades and integration
• Collaborate with program office, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure technical compliance
• Perform high-visibility, mission-critical tasks independently
